As I'm sure many of you have realized, Mittens has a new design by the end of the movie. This is obviously due to Penny's family allowing her into the house and fixing our favorite kitty up.  She looks primped and cared for, her fur is smoother, and has a new collar. But, here's the question: which look do you like better?

Let's compare:

(Thanks to Pomely for the pictures!)

If I had to choose, I think I would say the scruffy look. Although I love it that Mittens is taken care of at the end, her first look suits her personality a lot more in my opinion.

Mittens' groomed look is my favorite, although I really love both. There's something about seeing her find that place where she's truly happy that makes it so special. I think that she also had a fairly large personality change to accompany her new look, but that's something else. I'm interested to see what everyone else thinks!

I will have to agree with Pawzy, the scruffy look in my opinion does fit her personality a lot better. It is good though that she is taken care of and fixed up in the end though, don't get me wrong on that.

Mittens looks much better scruffy. It's a part of her personality to be scruffy looking. She looks cute either way, however. Mittens is awesome that way. She can work both looks to the max.

I've got to say, viewing the movie again... I think I now prefer her groomed look.

I think the screencap of her groomed look isn't the best shot of her, and in the scruffy one, she's making a cuter face, so that may have an effect.  But Pomely's right, the groomed look is adorable.

I feel somehow divided in this one, but I feel the balance pending more towards her groomed looks. Not only for aesthetic reasons, mind you, the answer for that goes just a little deeper.

While her scruffy looks suit her mildly-cynical and sarcastic personality better, her groomed look symbolizes something far more swell. This is Mittens not how life made her be, but how she so deeply longed to be. Having finally found a home, living amongst those who love her, and who she can love back. This is definitely the real Mittens, not the one twisted by a harsh life, and seeing her in that brings me a great deal of joy, like seeing a friend finally achieving happiness in life after going through it's many hardships and bearing it's scars with an exalted heart. It makes it look all the more special, and that's why I believe I'm going with her groomed look.

Also, that little collar she got is absolutely adorable.

Yeah I see what you mean, sort of like the impossible dream come true scenario after being abandoned, and the fact that she made it happen. Though the scruffy look is important as it symbolises the journey Mittens went through in order to achieve it, as well as fighting against the odds, I think because of this I have to say her scruffy look since it symbolises her at the time where she really put fait to the test, as well as it suiting her personality  Smiley .

I think it's not really a fair pick there, the scruffy screenshot is awesome and the groomed one is ... well... she looks like she's about to say "I'm not amused..." Tongue

I do prefer the scruffy look though, but that's always the case with me. Scruffy fur is scruffy and furry!!! Cheesy
